The fusion vibe is strong as you walk into this restaurant heavily outfitted with vintage accents and quirky paraphernalia. Pin-up-girl posters line the walls while lanterns and waxed-paper umbrellas hang from the ceilings.
The cuisine—Western food given an Asian twist—is as eclectic as the restaurant’s interior. Try the crispy otak otak, filo pastry wrapped around luscious spiced fish paste. Order the flower clams, served in a well-balanced broth of Shaoxing wine and a generous handful of sweet wolfberries. Brussels sprouts are charred and served with a thick minced meat sauce, while twice-cooked Angus short ribs are served with smashed cucumber for fresh textural contrast.
At dessert, try coconut tau huay, creamy coconut pudding with ginger ice cream and salted butter cookie crumbs. Do save space for the Milo Dinosaur Cocktail, everyone’s favourite childhood drink spiked with a generous dash of alcohol.
