Winestone is a modern European restaurant, wine bar and retail store rolled into one. Nestled in Mercure Singapore on Stevens, the restaurant is spacious with plush armchairs and chill vibes—perfect for a relaxing evening with bottles of wine, or a comfortable family lunch. Service is brisk, with the senior staff being more knowledgeable.

Food-wise, the seared scallops makes a nice start. Accompanied with chorizo and sun-dried tomatoes, the dish is tasty, savoury and elegant. Fettuccine al Funghi is a highlight, with skilfully cooked vegetables in a delectable marinara with earthy mushroom tones. The braised seafood risotto is comforting, aromatic with saffron-laden stock and a generous topping of prawns, mussels and crayfish—all well cooked and perfectly seasoned.

Prices are reasonable, with appetisers starting at about $10 whilst mains start around $20. A children’s menu offers four to five options.

The wine selection features well-known brands at attractive prices, starting from a pocket-friendly $6 per glass and $28 per bottle, to about $100 for more established names. To order, seek advice from the staff or simply walk into their cellar and choose from the vinous offerings on display.
