Surrounded by dense green foliage and the relaxing hum of nature, Tier Bar’s capacious outdoor porch is a wonderfully peaceful location from which to kick off a quiet evening with a stiff drink. Powerful air coolers keep the ambient temperature balmy while soft lighting andpopular tunes add to the bar’s laidback ambience.

The drinks list purveys an impressive 150 labels of wine and a good selection of refreshing cocktails, including a terrific lychee martini. Larger groups can opt for a mega one-litre cocktails to share.

On the menu are lovely small bites like quail scotch eggs wrapped in minced Angus beef and topped with aioli and avruga caviar. Duck rillettes are served with cornichons, pearl onions and toast, while gratifying cubes of black Angus beef come with sea salt, hot mustard and tendril cress. Certainly, this makes for a deliciously tranquil antidote to city life.
