2018 Review
There is a Great Gatsby-esque vibe to Black Swan, what with its dark marble counters, brass accents and Art Deco design. The bar is as popular as the dining room, and a great space to grab a pre-prandial drink as you take in the Old World architecture of this former bank building.
The menu is distinctly American, with starters like Alaskan snow crab salad dressed in a piquant vinaigrette that really opens the appetite, and pan-seared foie gras with corn and hazelnuts. Grilled whole Maine lobsters are simply drenched in melted butter, while Stockyard wagyu ribeye is served with unctuous bone marrow, tipping it over the edge from rich to simply decadent. Add a side of grilled asparagus with truffle hollandaise, and your dinner of delicious excess is complete. Well, not quite. At dessert, the classic apple tart and dark chocolate dome are just rich enough to satisfy without overwhelming. All in all, a sumptuous dining experience in a beautiful setting.
