Singapore's Top Restaurants

Tampopo

Known for its quality fare at affordable prices, Tampopo serves a wide selection of Japanese favourites featuring quality ingredients available. Fish is flown twice weekly from Japan and go into dishes like the special chirashi don, which features seasonal fish at any given time. This might include squid, tuna, scallops, sea urchin, yellowtail and swordfish. Kurobuta pork is Tampopo’s speciality. In fact, it was one of the first few restaurants in Singapore to serve the meat in 2005. Go for the top grade black pig tonkatsu, with incredibly tender and flavoursome meat.

Tampopo’s ramen is well-known thanks to its robustly flavoured broth, springy noodles and generous portions. The soba and tempura set is also excellent. Reservations are highly recommended as the restaurant gets crowded during peak hours.
