Located in the heart of Orchard Road, SUN With MOON is tucked away on the upper floors of Wheelock Place. It is best known for its kamameshi, deceptively simple traditional rice dishes belying their robust flavour. Filled with mushrooms, carrots, lotus roots and more, and topped with an umamirich stock of bonito and kelp, the dish is steamed and served in a kama (traditional iron pot), so that every pearl of rice is saturated with their tasty goodness. Other highlights include the foie gras millefeuille comprising decadent slices of pan-seared foie gras set atop flaky pastry; and spicy aburi salmon roll. The desserts are especially delightful.
