Overlooking the Singapore River, Summerlong is a breezy, open-sided restaurant best visited in the evenings. The menu is Mediterranean and designed for sharing. Portions are genuinely large, but cocktails tease the palate. Service is friendly and unhurried.

The food is enjoyable. The tasty chickpea hummus comes wonderfully thick and smooth in texture, while the appetiser of lamb pita filled with flavourful minced lamb and a creamy garlic dip, is big enough for a meal. The grilled barramundi fillet was a highlight—nicely tender and moist, served with a peppery watercress salad. For dessert, dive into the rich chocolate coffee tart.
