Singapore's Top Restaurants

StraitsKitchen

As its name suggests, this buffet restaurant at Grand Hyatt Singapore serves delightful treats from the cities along the Malacca Straits. Live cooking stations dish out Chinese, Malay, Indian, and of course, Peranakan favourites, all of which make it a fabulous place for out-of-towners to experience the best of Singapore’s hawker food in one ultra-comfortable space.

A great way to start is with a glass of freshly squeezed juice from the bar to sip on as you survey the mouth-watering array of food on offer. There are Chinese-style roasted meats, Indonesian favourites like gado gado, rich Indian curries, satay, and a rotating list of hawker favourites like laksa. The dessert section is filled with Peranakan sweets including the likes of ang ku kueh, the popular tortoise-shaped cake filled with sweet mung bean paste and sago gula melaka, springy sago pearls in a coconut and palm sugar broth.
