There are properly two parts to this venture by American celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. There is the al fresco bar and lounge, a salubrious spot to admire the panoramic views of the city. Then there is Spago Dining Room, which serves up creative Californian cuisine built on top shelf ingredients.

On weekdays, the restaurant runs a very well-priced three-course lunch menu that features signatures such as chopped tuna in crunchy cones speckled with sesame seeds. But for the real indulgence, come at sundown and feast on quality USDA prime côte de beouf; or opt for Singapore-inspired creations such as ‘Angry’ live Maine lobster, so called because it is smothered in a fiery chilli garlic black bean sauce, and pan-seared red snapper ‘laksa’.
