Tucked away in Sentosa Cove, SKIRT is a modern European steakhouse that is classy, elegant and stunning. Steaks are the main focus here—highlighted by a centrepiece parrilla grill dominating its open kitchen. Fuelled with mesquite wood, it cooks steaks laced with a mild, deliciously smoky flavour.
Its impressive selection of steak and meats are dry aged in-house. Order the 800g butcher’s cut skirt steak cooked rare. Then complement it with an indulgent lobster, lardon mac and cheese to share— macaroni with chunky pieces of bacon and lobster coated with a creamy cheese sauce.
Apart from beef, SKIRT also offers quite a few alternatives, such as the delectable Iberico double pork chop served with preserved lemon, pear relish, bacon jam and a side of truffle mash. The pork chop is nicely cooked—slightly chewy yet tender and juicy, and combines beautifully with the sweet pear relish and savoury bacon jam. The truffle mash adds yet another layer of flavour.
End with the classic baked Alaska, comprising ice-cream encased in toasted meringue. Flambéed at the table, it is stunning and tasty, a delightful potpourri of textures and flavours in every mouthful of cold ice-cream and delicately crunchy meringue.
