Shang Palace

Located at Shangri-La Singapore, Shang Palace draws a well-heeled clientele that comes for its delicious dim sum and sumptuous a la carte offerings.

Lunch is always busy at Shang Palace as regulars feast on well-executed dim sum standards such as plump flavourful shrimp dumpling, or har gao, and steamed barbecued pork buns. It is also well worth checking out more unique creations by Shang Palace’s dim sum chefs such as lychee prawn roll and steamed lobster with bittergourd dumpling.

Highlights from the a la carte menu include mixed vegetables wok-fried with tender cubes of pumpkin, gently scented with truffle and served in a carved pumpkin shell; and the spoon-tender dong po pork belly with rich bold flavours that linger on the palate. Another memorable signature is the wok-fried bird’s nest enlivened with fresh crabmeat and tangerine-hued roe, a delicious melange of textures and flavours.
