Shaburi & Kintan Buffet

Think of it as a two-in-one concept. At Shaburi and Kintan Buffet, not one but two different buffets are on offer: an all-you-can-eat shabu shabu hot pot and a Japanese-style barbecue, aka Kintan Buffet. Perhaps the sole catch is that the whole table must choose one or the other. Whichever option you choose, you will find a fine spread of dishes available at the buffet tables which feature plenty of vegetables alongside Japanese favourites such as vegetable tempura and sushi rolls, as well as other Asian staples such as Korean japchae (sweet potato glass noodles).

For Kintan Buffet, there are four main meat courses to choose from. For the best cuts of meats, go for the top range special wagyu selection. Pair them with the variety of sauces available, such as original, spicy miso and garlic. Indeed, the effort to cater to every taste is evident. For the shabu shabu option, there are different soup bases available for individuals—original konbu, sukiyaki, beef pepper, chicken collagen paitan and hot miso. One of the more flavourful options is the hot miso, whereas lighter in flavour but just as satisfying is the original konbu, or kelp soup base. Finish off at the DIY soft-serve counter, always a popular stop with regulars.

Be early if you are headed this way. The good value offerings meanthat there is a constant crowd, especially on weekends.
