Think homemade ulam speckled with chopped herbs alongside char moey (rustic wok-fried porridge packed with rich flavour), sambal petai, peppery pig stomach soup and more.

Live stations, meanwhile, dish up all-time favourites such as Penang laksa, char kway teow redolent with heady wok hei and kueh pie tie prepared a la minute with golden crisp shells and braised vegetables.

There’s also a mean dessert spread that includes min jiang kueh (peanut pancakes) made to order, ang ku kueh aka sweet dumplings filled with sweet mung bean paste, kueh lapis and more.
