2018 Review
This modern Chinese restaurant in Marina Mandarin Singapore has been around for 30 years and continues to shine with its stellar food and welcoming ambience. The brightly lit dining room offers a pretty view of the city, so make it a point to ask for a window-side table.
The food spans the Cantonese culinary canon, pepped up with interesting modern inflections in the form of dishes like double-boiled almond soup with fish maw, a surprisingly delicious combination with an appealingly silky texture. The stir-fried wagyu beef cubes with black pepper and longans are just the right side of tender and sweet, while pan-seared silver cod in teriyaki sauce served with preserved vegetables is a tasty winner.
Peach Blossoms is particularly popular for its daily dimsum lunch buffet, which features all-you-can-eat servings of treats like pan-fried foie gras with smoked duck served on steamed buns and baked lobster with cheese. Save space for the classic dim sum like soup-filled meat dumplings (xiao long bao), siew mai and creamy egg tarts.
