Pasta Brava

Located in a beautiful three-storey conservation shophouse in Tanjong Pagar, Pasta Brava takes pride in serving traditional Italian cuisine from various regions of Italy and is an ideal venue for a cosy gathering withfamily and friends. Established by R. Luceri and his god daughter Sofi in 1993, this popular restaurant houses collectible antiques and art pieces of over 100 years, alongside beautiful pieces of colourful drawings andframed awards on its walls that it has garnered over the years.

The second level houses a wine cellar and bar offering a wide selection of international wines, Italian wines and super Tuscans, and was recently refurbished to accommodate private and corporate events. Dining tables are lined with drawing paper and supplied with colouredchalk so diners can keep themselves entertained while waiting for their food. Pasta Brava serves a wide selection of salads, appetisers, pastas, main courses and desserts. Kick off the meal with oven-glazed scallops sautéed in butter, white wine and béchamel tomato sauce. The restaurant’s signature homemade ravioli is highly recommended—delicate pasta pillows are stuffed with minced beef and served with a light gorgonzola cheese sauce. It is flavourful and creamy, yet not overpowering. The pan-fried sea bass fillet will not disappoint with its lovely marriage of tangylemon sauce and fresh mint that bring out the full flavour of the fish.

Desserts are home made daily with the best imported baking ingredients—the tiramisu is well-balanced and a good choice for those who crave a boozy kick in their sweets. If there is stomach space for more, try the chocolate lava cake, a truly sinful, indulgent finish. All in all, this well-loved establishment lives up to its reputation for a dependably great dining experience.
