Centrally located in Tanjong Pagar, OTTO Ristorante is a great Italian restaurant to adjourn to for after-work drinks or dinner.

Draw on OTTO’s immense wine list to get to know the different terroirs of Italy, from Lombardy in the north, to Toscana in central Italy, and Campania in the southwest. Meanwhile, the attentive waiter will be quick to recommend seasonal starters such as lovely white asparagus with Parma ham, and the signature seared foie gras with red apple purée and caraway seed brioche. This dainty dish is a delectable balance of the rich flavours of foie gras and the light sweetness of apple purée. The homemade squid ink tagliolini with prawn, leeks and crispy bacon, and the baked black cod with taggia olives and potatoes, are dependably good. But the highlight is the grain-fed beef tenderloin with bone marrow sauce and porcini mushroom which bursts with juicy, beefy flavour.

End on a decadent note with the Venetian iced meringue cake, warm chocolate soup and pistachio, or the crisp apple and pinenut crumble with vanilla ice-cream and cinnamon sauce. Order early as it requires 30 minutes’ baking time.
