2017 Review
2018 Review

There is plenty to like about this charming restaurant tucked away in what is a fairly nondescript building in the heart of the financial district. For starters, the cosy 60-seater lives up to its name with beautiful Old World style interiors, complete with leather banquette seats and lovely tiled floors.

But the real art at this popular restaurant is on the plate. Despite a relatively succinct menu, it hits all the right spot with delicious offerings such as juicy pan-seared scallops bathed in a flavourful seafood sauce. But in all honesty, it is hard to pick just one favourite. The homemade pastas such as the tagliolini with spanner crab and tossed in tangy tomato sauce are a sound bet, as regulars well know. The Pacific cod, set on a bed of romanesco purée and paired with confit tomato, scampi and shiso, is the house signature for good reason. Simply cooked to showcase the delicate sweetness of the cod, with golden seared skin for a delicious crisp and flesh just tender, it is light on the belly and rich in flavour.

Desserts prove just as sweet although you might be equally hard-pressed to pick just the one. Our choice: the lemon cheesecake, which is a cheesecake quite unlike any other. Comprising richly flavoured Amalfi lemon curd set atop a delicate dainty sponge cake, it is quite the feast for the eye and the palate, with its explosion of colours and flavours.
