Oasis offers one of the most tranquil al fresco dining experiences in town that money can buy. With its backdrop of lush greenery and poolside surrounds, a meal at Oasis isn’t simply a meal, it’s a getaway.

Those with large appetites may want to check out the barbecue buffet that runs daily for dinner. Alternatively take your pick from the a la carte menu, which is relatively succinct, but with plenty of variety, from all-day dining staples such as beef burger and fish and chips to local favourites like laksa and wanton noodle soup.

For a healthy bite, order the char-grilled portobello mushroom burger that is wholesome and delicious. In place of buns are huge portobello mushrooms sandwiching a beetroot patty. Meat lovers will do well with the grass-fed iron steak scented with garlic and thyme. Charred on the outside and incredibly tender within, this meaty slab of goodness yields easily to the bite. If it is Southeast Asian flavours you are after, house specialties such as Thai-style gai yang chicken and nasi goring, aka Indonesian fried rice, will not disappoint.
