Helmed by chef-owner Sun Kim, formerly from Waku Ghin and Tetsuya, Meta serves classic French-inspired cuisine with an Asian twist. The dinner menu comes in five- ($138) or seven-course ($178) options. From the spring menu, start with canapes such as puffed rice crackers with octopus; hamachi tartare and caviar on crisp pastry and savoury tart with generous parmesan shavings. Highlights emphasising fresh seasonal flavours and delicate textures include sawara tataki with celery and kumquat, Iberico secreto with kimchi mushroom, and Rhug Estate lamb rack. The meats are perfectly cooked and well-balanced and the dessert of Ichigo strawberry is refreshing and well executed.
