Singapore's Top Restaurants

Man Fu Yuan

With elegant interiors, efficient, friendly service and a large, varied menu studded with gems, it’s little wonder that Man Fu Yuan continues to draw well-heeled gourmets. Top on the list of must-orders at Man Fu Yuan is the signature deep-fried lychees filled with crabmeat and lobster, and generously coated with rich moreish salted egg yolk. Tossed with crunchy toasted slivers of almond, it is a decadent indulgence we simply can’t get enough of. Other impressive starters: the chilli crab buns from the dim sum menu that come filled with sweet and spicy crabmeat; and the creamy pumpkin broth cradling chunks of fresh lobster meat.

From the mains selection, try the tender smoked duck that’s redolent of tea leaves, and the battered deep-fried prawns laced with wasabi. Or savour the lobster broth with fresh prawns, shimeiji mushrooms and luffa melon. Ifyou are looking to splash out, the live seafood and abalone selection is a good bet.
