Helmed by siblings Eric and Lena Chan, Mad About Sucre is a French patisserie, restaurant and chocolaterie all rolled into one.
Its menu emphasises dishes cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients and no preservatives. It features the likes of slow-cooked oxtail and wild-caught blueback salmon with garlic confit sauce.
One of the must-orders here is the salad with grilled prawns, foie gras and caviar, and the foie gras linguine aglio olio, too, where the unctuous liver is tossed with the pasta, broccoli florets and cherry tomatoes to coat every ingredient with its delicious fat.
As its name suggests, there are some fantastic cakes available at dessert. Try the Saveurs de Printemps, a sophisticated three-layered cake flavoured with Russian earl grey tea. Tea and cake pairings are available to make the dessert experience all the more enjoyable.
