Lime Restaurant is a relaxing, welcoming space with high ceilings and full length glass windows.
The weekday dinner buffet offers a limited selection of seafood, with the usual choices of sashimi, cold steamed prawns, and mussels. But they impress by being exceptionally fresh. On the carvery’s modest selection, the roast beef is a must-try. It is tender and juicy, cooked to a perfect mediumrare.
Lime’s Asian Kitchen spread differentiates itself by offering local favourites such as kueh pie tee—a particular delight—and lobster laksa. The soup station is an underrated star, featuring favourites such as bak kut teh and herbal chicken soup.
The dessert spread features traditional Nyonya kueh such as kueh salat and kueh dadar, as well as a delightful little selection of cheesecakes and chocolates. Local desserts such cheng tng and fragrant durian pengat are also available.
While the selection is not extensive, the quality of the food is excellent. The seafood, particularly the salmon, tuna and scallop sashimi, are exceptionally fresh, and the local and Oriental fare is delicious and authentic.
