This storied establishment is one of the pioneers of Singapore’s fine dining scene, and has long been a leader in setting the benchmark. Now into its 23rd year, Les Amis is helmed by award-winning French executive chef Sebastian Lepinoy, who serves up an elegant modern French menu that changes seasonally. But the more things change, the more they stay the same. Through the changes of menu, Les Amis regulars have come to expect constants such as the cold angel hair pasta kissed with kombu, scented with black truffle and beautifully adorned with shiny pearls of caviar. Other standouts that have stayed with us well beyond the meal: the Brittany blue lobster salad, and the Japanese Ohmi beef tenderloin paired with airy delicate pommes soufflé.
Last but not least, desserts at Les Amis are truly an outstanding affair. Pastry chef Cheryl Koh shows her mettle in gorgeous creations that are almost too good to eat.
