This gem of an izakaya is tucked away in a swish, quiet mall that adjoins One Farrer Hotel and Spa. At lunch, it serves affordable sets such as pork cutlet with Japanese curry or grilled eel on rice served with an appetizer, pickle, soup and dessert.

Evenings at this chic izakaya see diners noshing on yakitori and sipping on beer or fruit-based sakes such as the Amabaki Blood Orange on ice. Some popular items here include the MBS 4 wagyu kushi comprising four cubes of unctuously tender beef grilled to tasty succulence, and kurama ebi bacon, which combines kurobuta pork loin, bacon and Japanese prawns to delicious effect.

The small selection of ramen available features a choice of clear chicken broth or kimchi-based soup, while sashimi lovers will find satisfaction in the kanpachi carpaccio, fresh slivers of amberjack in a balsamic dressing.
