Grissini

The former Pontini at Grand Copthorne Waterfront has been re-named Grissini, and it continues to serve quality Italian fare in a modern bistro-style setting.

A great way to begin your meal is with a starter of wild-caught Mediterranean octopus salad with heirloom cherry tomatoes, baby rocket, sweet taggiasca olives and a light squeeze of lemon. Complement this with a side of a wild mushroom soup or rustic Tuscan vegetable minestrone. Pasta recommendations include fresh Boston lobster linguine cooked with datterini tomatoes and Rome’s signature Frascati white wine. There is also a stunning emerald-hued risotto cooked with nettles and plump panseared Hokkaido scallops.

The meats here are grilled in a Josper oven fired with charcoal and applewood. Relish a buttery Tajima wagyu ribeye (with level eight marbling) or a platter of Italian herbed sausages with mashed parsnips and salad. For a vegetarian option, try the tomato-based eggplant timbale with parmigiano reggiano and mozzarella.
