Pim Pam means ‘quick and easy’ in Spanish, and indeed, this convivial spot on Orchard Road is perfect for grabbing drinks and nibbles with friends.
The menu covers the spectrum of popular tapas. Start with a selection of Iberico cutsjamon, Lomo, Salchichon et althen follow up with imported canned goodies such as salt-cured Spanish anchovies in olive oil and Galician cockles in brine. Move on to the small plates proper, which runs the gamut from clever creations such as cherry gazpacho with olive oil ice cream to traditional staples like pan-fried prawns generously topped with garlic, parsley and chilli.
Much of Spanish cuisine is about sharing. Accordingly, there is plenty to share here think hunky tomahawk steak and half a suckling pig for starters. Alternatively, check out the variety of paellas on offer especially the squid ink version topped with prawns, baby squid and a dollop of aioli.
