2018 Review
When it comes to a decadent Sunday champagne brunch or a weekday buffet, it is hard to beat Edge. The restaurant serves an extensive buffet of international favourites, from Chinese noodles and dim sum to Indian curries, chilled seafood and Italian specialities. Kick off the meal at the bread and cheese station thatâs heaving with baked goods and a variety of hard and soft cheeses. Prized starters include a caprese burrata with sweet heirloom tomatoes and melted raclette.
Next, waltz to the cold seafood station to indulge in Fine de Claire oysters, clams, snow crab and lobsters, before swinging into the Japanese station for some tempura, sushi and sashimi. A range of roasted meats is impressively on deck, with offerings such as prime rib, suckling pig, baby lamb and Peking duck. There is also a grill station offering tasty German sausages and mouth-watering wagyu beef. Known for its theatrics, The Edge also offers giant slabs of beef burger, cut to bite-size portions to make for easier eating.
For a local fix, follow the scent of spices to find Indian favourites like saffron rice pilaf and yellow dhal. Straits-inspired spiced dishes include laksa, chicken rendang and the crowd favourite, chilli crab with deep-fried mantou.
It will not be hard to find your way to the brightly coloured dessert station with candy sculptures. There is also a dedicated waffle and crepe station, as well as a potpourri of Nonya cakes, ice creams and creamed cakes.
Sunday brunch comes with free flow of juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea. The premium package offers unlimited Veuve Clicquot champagne, red and white wines and cocktails.
