Regulars know to order the off-menu crab and avocado quesadillas, brimming with fresh avocado and crabmeat, alongside homemade guacamole and pico de gallo.
Most mains are large enough for two. The grilled boneless Mexican Yucatan chicken skewers are downright excellent, glazed with orange and lemon juice, and served with steamed tortillas. The carne asada and hearty carnitas with pulled pork and soft corn tortillas are also favourites. The pork collar carnitas are marinated in a special spice blend, slowly baked till meltingly tender and finished with a squeeze of roasted orange. It is accompanied by warm tortillas, salsa and guacamole.
Drinks here are equally good. The margaritas (in various flavours) are deliciously boozy, but for something adventurous, try the spicy Corona-based Chile beer featuring hot sauce and fresh jalapenos.
Finish with the large Kahlua tiramisu, a spiked Mexican reiteration of the Italian classic, or the equally addictive kahbrita, coated with Mexican chocolate and Kahlua.
