Arguably the first hotel coffeehouse to turn local hawker fare into gourmet dishes when it opened in 1971, the famous Chatterbox has since been visited by dignitaries, celebrities and tourists alike.
An all-day menu is offered at this lively dining venue. Don’t miss their signature Mandarin chicken rice, a wellloved local dish made from a recipe passed down through generations of Chatterbox chefs. Each order features a generous platter of succulent, tender, deboned chicken, fragrant jasmine rice, house-made chilli sauce and dark soy sauce. The lobster laksa is another must-order for the plump lobes of Boston lobster and other ingredients such as quail egg and fish cake dancing in a medium-spicy coconut gravy. For nibbles, go for the salted egg chicken wings whose flavours are lifted by piquant complements of curry leaves and chilli padi.
End on a refreshing note with home-made coconut ice-cream served in a coconut shell, or chendol featuring ingredients such as coconut milk, palm sugar, kidney beans and green pandan jelly.
