Bōruto (Japanese for vault) is a modern izakaya set along South Bridge Road. Helmed by chef Angus Chow, the kitchen serves dainty, delightful plates such as fresh oysters on ponzu granita, crispy rice crackers with pulled pork, and sea urchin somen. The dishes are elegant and inventive, with several hearty options like a bone-in ribeye steak grilled to succulent perfection and served with tomato salsa on the side.
There are more than 100 brands of sake on offer, along with wines, cocktails and Japanese whiskies.
