Singapore's Top Restaurants

boCHINche

Headed by chef patron Diego Jacquet of London’s Zoilo restaurant, boCHINche is all about the beef, here served Argentinian style. In fact, all thebeef served at the restaurant come from grass-fed cattle imported from Argentina.

Take your pick from various choice cuts—ribeye, fillet, flank, skirt et al—and have them cooked in the wood and charcoal grill, then served withchimichurri, a herby sauce redolent of garlic, cilantro, parsley et al. Other Argentinian staples you’ll find here include chorizo croquettes, dainty deep-fried morsels of creamed potato specked with chorizo; and empanadas, thetraditional stuffed pastry that’s a Latin American favourite. The latter comes with three different fillings here—tuna and tomatoes, handcut beef withpotatoes and a delish spinach with goat’s cheese, raisins and pine nuts. Other crowd-pleasers: the grilled watermelon and tomatoes salad with mozzarella and a heady wild garlic pesto, and the grilled octopus withpotatoes and green pea ragout.

The restaurant sits just 45 and fills up fast with a fairly trendy crowd from around the area. Reservatiions are highly recommended.
