Bistro Du Vin

For a quintessentially French dining experience without the pomp and frills, but all the gastronomic goodness, leg on over to Bistro du Vin. Start with the French onion soup, which does a great job of whetting the appetite. The onions are stewed to melting sweetness and paired with melted Gruyere on crunchy croutons to deliver a comforting treat. The generously portioned foie gras is almost as good, served with a sweet onion marmalade and spice bread that counters the liver’s richness.

Classic duck confit is perfectly executed here: well-seasoned and capped with pleasantly crisp skin. The accompanying Pommery mustard mash is a treat in itself—smooth and rich with a hint of spice, and beautifully offsetting the saltiness of the duck. Not to be outshone, the classic joue de boeuf braise is bursting with flavour and boasts fork-tender meat and an earthy and aromatic red wine sauce. End your meal with a Grand Marnier soufflé. Light and airy yet suffused with flavour, it is imbued with a citrusy brightness.
