As its name suggests, Beef Yakiniku Dining YAKINIQUEST was born of its owners’ quest to find the perfect yakiniku (Japanese-style grilled meats) experience in Singapore. The restaurant occupies a nondescript shophouse set along Boat Quay and is itself a lesson in all things beef.

A plethora of wagyu beef cuts are on offer, and the Japanese waitstaff is always on hand to attend to diners’ needs. They also cook each course of beef to delicious perfection. For the best variety, ask for the special omakase menu, which might begin with sashimi and niku somen, followed by grilled courses of different cuts of meat, and the popular yakisuki (sirloin cooked sukiyaki style). Before cooking each cut, the server provides a quick description of the meat and how best to enjoy it. Typically, the cuts are lightly seasoned with salt and pepper to allow the distinct natural flavours of the meats to shine through.
