Beauty in The Pot

This concept by the Paradise Group serves hot pot with hearty soup bases that not only taste good, but are purportedly great for the skin. Appointedin dark tones and wooden furnishings, it has the feel of an upmarket Oriental teahouse.

Choose between the beauty collagen broth (shark’s cartilage soup) or spicynourishing broth (pork bone soup). If you can’t decide, have both in the twin flavours broth, where the soups are served side by side. Both are well-flavoured, though condiments like ebiko prawn paste add an always-welcome jolt of umami. Once the soups have come to a boil, dip slivers of US Angus prime short ribsand Kurobuta pork into them for mere seconds before they are cooked and succulent. There is also a good spread of dumplings, fresh fish, meatballs and assorted vegetables. The end of every meal is punctuated by a scoop of palate-cleansing yuzu sorbet.
