Casual Italian restaurant Amò charms with its rustic brick walls and vintage mosaic tiles. Start with the delectable zucchini flowers with mortadella and lemon honey— rarely found in restaurants here—and delicious grilled octopus with chilli vinaigrette. The calamari is outstanding, served with sumac and sundried tomato aioli. For mains, the excellent spaghetti chitarra with generous chunks of Boston lobster is the restaurant’s signature, big enough for sharing. Pizzas are another must-have— the flavourful straciatella, prosciutto, rucola and fig vincotto pizza with its thin, chewy crust is addictive. End with ricotta cheese castagnole —deep-fried, ricotta-filled dough balls dipped in airy-light moscato sabayon.
