The eponymous restaurant by the Spanish celebrity chef espouses old world charm and stately con dence. With the kitchen helmed by local executive chef Haikal Johari, the menu is a creative fusion of Asian-Modern European cuisine, working wonderfully for diners with an Asian palate and an appreciation for ne Western avours.
Value set lunch and dinner options start at an a ordable $39 and $117, making for excellent corporate lunches or a delicious mid-week treat. Look forward to items such as
the truly extraordinary, pillowy-soft co ee potato bread, which comes at the start of the meal on a bed of warm co ee beans to keep the fresh bread warm. Then on to signature appetisers such as crispy tofu with wild mushrooms and
foie gras emulsion, a texturally playful, well-balanced dish of delicate and robust avours. House favourites for the main course include the Boston lobster angel hair pasta with hijiki seaweed, which is reminiscent of our local Hokkien mee, but lighter and more re ned. The meaty A4 Ohmi beef is another winner, enhanced by sweet Amaou strawberry and an earthy wine and beetroot reduction.
Alma’s drinks list feature over 400 wine labels from America, Spain, Italy and France, and organic wines from the south of Spain. The whiskey library, reminiscent of a bank vault, doubles up as a private room for 14, surrounded by over 320 bottles of rare whiskeys, including the most notable Karuizawa Japanese Whisky.
