2018 Review
Expect complex flavours built on fresh produce at Adrift, a chic modern Asian-inspired Californian restaurant by celebrity chef David Myers.
Consider beginning your meal with a plate of Japanese big eye tuna sashimi delicately seasoned with Japanese ginger, sesame leaf, and tofu purée. Equally delectable options include Adrift’s succulent wagyu beef tartare tossed in carrotginger vinaigrette, and the signature Alaskan king crab melt. Move on to tiger prawn a la plancha spiced with herbs and lemon, and flame-grilled to juicy perfection. The hand-cut pappardelle with charcoal-grilled mushrooms, sudachi (a Japanese citrus) and a generous portion of Maine lobster is also worth the splurge.
Meat lovers should give the Brandt sirloin steak a go. The tender, mouth-watering steak, paired with a mildly spiced herb sauce and delicious garlic chips, is immensely satisfying. For dessert, try the spiced chocolate fritter with ginger ice cream and kumquat, an exciting and exquisite blend of flavours, or for a decidedly lighter option, the rose parfait with coco mochi and raspberry.
