Nestled on Mount Faber, Spuds and Aprons offers hearty comfort food that comes in generous portions.

Begin with a starter of potato skins dressed in minced chilli crab sauce—a deliciously unique take on the local favourite. Balance this with a grilled octopus salad mixed with mesclun, pomelo pulp, red onions and dried baby shrimps. Then dig into a basket of thick-cut sweet potato fries with curry mayo and an Asian-inspired tapas of crispy fish skin with passion fruit and garlic-chilli dip.

For mains, the house signature is an oven-roasted cod fillet topped with tobiko and served with soba noodles in ponzu sauce. Another popular choice is the crab linguine featuring crispy soft shell crab bathed in a coriander and chilli crab sauce. Other gems include the spicy coconut broth of lobster, shellfish and salmon that’s playfully called the Lobster Ba La La, and the fork-tender crackling pork belly with a tangy pineapple pickle.

Some of the best desserts in the house include the Jar of Happiness, a mix of shortbread, berries and almond flakes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, as well as the chempedak-flavoured bread and butter pudding. There is an extensive variety of beverages ranging from soft drink floats to milkshakes and cocktails. Particularly noteworthy is the barista’s popcorn latte—a regular latte sweetened with crunchy salted caramel or chocolate popcorn on the side.
