15 Stamford by Alvin Leung is the eponymous chef’s latest culinary adventure. Like his three-Michelin-starred Bo Innovation in Hong Kong, he gives a modern interpretation of Asian food here. Ensconced in a historical building with art décor-rich interiors, the restaurant is elegant, with pretty arches and wood panelling. The grilled octopus with eggplant makes a tasty, smoky starter. Then dive into the rich, much-lauded laksa with house-made dried shrimp floss, char-grilled tiger prawns and smoked onsen quail eggs, or the deliciously tender and aromatic short-rib rendang. End with a lovely crème brulée.
