Housed in Destination Hotel, this unassuming restaurant offers some pretty darn good Peranakan favourites. Start with bakwan kepiting, a flavourful soup with thinly sliced bamboo shoots and excellent meatballs generously packed with crab meat and chunky pieces of prawns. The tender beef cheek rendang is possibly among the best in town, while its intensely fragrant sambal buah keluak fried rice is a must-try, fried with crunchy winged beans and topped with a sunny sideup egg and fried garlic. Ask for sambal belachan to go with it. The dessert of kueh kosui is extremely soft, moist and not too sweet.
