Tucked away in a leafy glade in the midst of Dempsey’s F&B cluster, Tapas 26 exudes a tranquil, feminine vibe. Its quiet, grey-accented dining room in a heritage former army building reminds one of a cosy storybook-esque woodland cottage. Its the kind of place where you want to linger over lunch with the girls, and drink copious amounts of pink Champagne.
Good Spanish cuisine in all its rich flavours is the order of the day here. Pick from the a la carte menu with more hearty dishes, or choose from its fairly extensive tapas menu. The ham and truffle croquettes are divinedelicate exterior with creamy insidesand the squid ink paella, with prawns, mussels, clams and squid, is excellent too and come in good-sized portions. Another highlight is the suckling pigthe pork was perfectly rendered with pink juicy meat under a light, crisp crackling. A good wine and cocktail menu is available with reasonable prices.
