As its name implies, dining at this cosy restaurant is an intimate affair. All the Nonya standards are on offer, including bakwang kepiting soup brimming with prawns, crabs, pork, bamboo shoots and ngoh hiang. Hearty and wholesome options include tangy babi assam and chap chye. There are some unexpected offerings, too, like scallop lemak, a take on the traditional coconut-rich stew typically served with prawns.
All in all, dinner here offers a taste of nostalgia. The food is well-cooked, not overly fancy and extremely comforting. The portions are well-sized and prices are very reasonable.
