Dinner at Bayswater Kitchen is a whimsical, cheerful affair. Get an al fresco table, preferably by the waters edge, and get ready to enjoy seafood cooked in imaginative ways.
The light, savoury whipped cod roe served with crisp flatbread makes for a very enjoyable starter. For mains, have the beer battered cod with shoestring potatoes, served with surprisingly scrumptious crushed peas. Another crowd pleaser is the grilled fillet of red bass complemented with clams, tangy capers and salty samphire in a cream sauce.
Other dishes to keep in mind are Fishermans Feast and the yoghurt panna cotta. The service from the senior staff is warm and friendly, and the meal is well-paced. That the prices are affordable is a nice bonus.
