    Not your traditional Chinese restaurant, Mitzo serves contemporary Cantonese cuisine in a dramatic modern space more akin to a chic nightspot.

    To start, try the braised fish maw soup, which showcases the freshness and elegance that embody the restaurant’s cuisine philosophy. The special barbecued pork is roasted so that it sports a delightfully blistered, caramelised coat that gives way to incredibly tender meat. Then there’s the black truffle crispy roasted duck, redolent of truffles and served with a sauce that is balanced and robust in equal measure. The delicately steamed cod is paired nicely with petai beans, a Southeast Asian ingredient seldom used in Chinese food.

    Premium ingredients feature in Mitzo’s dim sum—think black caviar atop royal shrimp dumplings and baby abalone crowning shrimp and pork dumplings.

    Mitzo’s Asian Inspiration cocktails are worth a mention, too. Encompassing Asian herbs and spices, along with nods to traditional Chinese medicine, the cocktails feature Chinese twists and make great complements to the dishes. Try the Smokey Essence, a rye whiskey and sloe gin-based cocktail with a distinct tea-smoked favour. It pairs well with the umami flavour of the black truffle crispy roasted duck.
