Named after a charming town in Tuscany, Lucca’s Trattoria prides itself on offering hearty, homey fare synonymous with the Italian region.

Most of the ingredients used are procured from Italy, and a meal here feels much like dining in the home of a generous friend. While classics such as fried calamari and caprese salad are there to start the meal, we suggest giving the chicken liver crostini a try instead. The smooth pâté is rich and served on crusty, grilled toast. Counter that with the garlic and white wine-based cozze e vongole (clams)—ask for extra bread to mop up the delicious sauce.

Tuscany is famous for its bistecca alla Fiorentina aka Florentine steak, and here, it is the perfect dish to share with a group of friends. While the tiramisu is a welcome end to the night, we recommend the classic bronte pistachio gelato, richly redolent of the earthy green nut.

The wine list reads like an ode to Italy’s wine-producing regions. From Barolo to Barbaresco to Brunello, there are several options across various price ranges.
