    Since it first opened, Botanico has prided itself on serving a seasonality-driven cuisine featuring quality ingredients from Europe and Southeast Asia. Today, that concept has evolved nicely into an a la carte menu categorised by food from the Inka grill, main plates and ingredients from the garden.

    The five-course set dinner comes with indulgent ‘lattes’—soups— of foie gras and mushroom. Snacks like Serrano croquettes, cauliflower with spiced almonds, and fried calamari follow——all excellent value for money thanks to their hearty portions, which make them extremely filling.

    In keeping with the restaurant’s more casual persona, the vibe and service are polite and laidback. The dishes are well-paced and hearty; think mains like a hunk of grilled pork belly with nuts and seeds, counterpointed by fermented Granny Smith apples——so come with a big appetite.

    The restaurant boasts a lovely terraced bar that is cooled by air-conditioned vents on the floor. Ask to take your meal here and enjoy the food with one of many creative cocktails, including the Garage Gin’Onic (a play on the gin and tonic), a refreshing blackberry lychee mojito, and a thyme lemonade.
