Moosehead is hip, trendy and unabashedly global in its outlook. And while the setting is happily casual, the cuisine is anything but, with its emphasis on fresh produce, attention to detail, and its fine Mediterraneanflavours bolstered by culinary inspirations from around the world.
Order a few starters to share and be sure to include the sweet and savoury bacon-wrapped dates. Char-grilledcauliflower with a silky garlic miso sauce and leek confit isalso popular with regulars, as is the smoked goat cheesebeautifully set off with grated beets.
From the mains menu, the pork belly is a standout. After long and slow braising, the meat is given a good sear to yield a tasty, caramelised crust. The umami-packed cabbage and apple sauce that accompanies it is simplydivine. Other options include roasted chicken breast withsun-dried tomatoes, beef flank with roasted spring onions and mushroom ketchup, mackerel scented with ponzu.
