This celebrated pizzeria by respected chefs Mario Batali and Nancy Silverton has firmly established itself as the place to see and be seen when dining at Marina Bay Sands. Always bustling and welcoming in equal measure, Pizzeria Mozza serves well-made antipasti and pizzas, and a carefully curated selection of Italian wines and cocktails.
Good starters here include the gratifying meatballs al forno and Nancy’s chopped salad, a smorgasbord of greens, cheeses and cured sausages. More adventurous of palates should indulge in the fried pig’s ears with salsa calabrese. Toothsome, with a burst of umami in each bite, this finger-licking snack goes sublimely with a glass of Pinot Grigio. When ready to dig into the mains, go for the pizza burricotta with peperonata, taggiasche olives and oregano; and pizza bianca with fontina, mozzarella, sottoccenere and sage. The pizza base here is crispy, chewy and fluffy in all the right places, perfectly accompanying the well-thought out mix of toppings. Leave room to choose from the compact but excellent list of desserts.
