Situated on the 33rd floor of Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1, LeVeL33 boasts penthouse views of Singapore’s iconic skyline, and has the honour of being the highest urban craft brewery in the world. Here, you’ll find five freshly crafted house beers on the menu, ranging fromlight-bodied fruity brews to a robust malty stout. To start, order the beer tasting paddle, which includes 0.1-litre tasting portions of each brew to accompany your meal. The menu very helpfully suggests specific beers for each dish, too.
At the kitchen’s helm is executive chef Jimi Tegerdine, who makes it a point to constantly update his modern European menu. Every dish is examined regularly, and depending on diners’ feedback, is either removed or modified so guests get the best food possible.
A great dish to begin the meal with is the Pig & Snail, comprising panko-crumbed sous vide Iberico pork jowl and cheek topped with garlic escargot and arugula pesto, and the pan-seared Foleys scallops with crisp pig cheek. For mains, order the Iberico brined with house-brewed Indian Pale Ale, or for something a touch more exotic, the pan-seared kangaroo loin with liquorice pumpkin purée, bush leaf dust and blackberry jus. The desserts are definitely a standout here. Don’t miss the Dessert Assiette, composed of some of the restaurant’s best sweet treats. You’ll find their signature Beehive dessert, handcrafted beer ice cream, and fourslivers of various honeycomb-shaped chocolates (among others) artfully arranged on a sleek black tile.
