This beautiful all-day dining café and bar offers contemporary Western cuisine with a pronounced Szechuan flavour amid a lush green, sanctuary-like backdrop. It is best known for its cocktails, small plates with whimsical dish names, and a succinct menu with plenty of variety and studded with gems. Some hits: the Oriental bolognese made with angel hair pasta, a riff on Chinese minced pork noodles, zha jiang mian, and The Fortune skewer laden with assorted vegetables and quail eggs and served with fiery Szechuan pepper broth. The decadent crispy gyoza with truffle soy vinaigrette, meanwhile, is succulent and crunchy to the last bite, and a definite must-try.

Desserts are thoughtful combinations of East and West, like poached pear. Given a Chinese twist, the pears are steeped in a spiced tea blend and boiled with ginger, longan and snow fungus, before it is served with homemade orange caramel ice cream.
